Shell House Kitchen

Such a nice venue made you feel like you'd walked into a home. Table service is available here too which is lovely. A beautiful out side seating area available, which also allows you to view the chef cooking. Toilets are up a flight of stairs not a problem for me personally but this could be a downside for others. Food was amazing!! cooked fresh, no grease!! (we had the breakfast). Good cup of coffee available too. I will definitely eat here when im next in town

Caught up with our daughter and her partner over brunch today in this lovely cafe in Ledbury. The staff were very pleasant on our arrival. There is an excellent choice of food and beverages. We all enjoyed our brunch and the ambience there is lovely. My husband was very pleased to notice black pudding on his full English breakfast. Our daughter chose some halloumi on the side of her eggs Royalle which was delicious. The coffee, tea and orange juice was all of a high quality. It’s great that this venue is very dog friendly too. The walled garden is a beautiful space to enjoy food or a drink but it was exceptionally warm today so we dined in the conservatory area.

This is a lovely lunch spot in the heart of Ledbury. We chose Shell House Kitchen as I particularly love brunch food and it was dog friendly. Our reserved table even had a dog bowl of water ready which was lovely. My meal of Eggs Royale was beautiful and I polished it off incredibly quickly. My partners mushroom on toast tasted very good but perhaps could’ve done with more than one piece of toast. My mocha was also lovely but we were disappointed with my partners luxury hot chocolate. £4.95 comes with cream and marshmallows (great) but his cup was essentially only half filled with hot chocolate so it only took him 2/3 sips before it was gone.

Great food, service and atmosphere. Food is competitively priced and portions are good. Staff and owners are very friendly and do a great job. Could tell the ingredients were of high quality and the price reflects this and you pay for what you get. When we were in for brunch it was very busy with lots of tables all sitting down at the same time and it was great to see a cafe this busy. I have been to other restaurants in Herefordshire that will turn customers away if too many tables come in at once without a booking. We didn't book a table and were happy that they could accommodate us and happily waited for our drinks and food. Time flys when you enjoy the company that you are with. I don't understand some people that moan about waiting for food and drink in a restaurant or cafe they must not be having a nice time with who they are with :).

Dropped in with our dogs for a quick lunch and ended up loving the secret garden, and the steak was fabulous.

Excellent food and excellent service. Can wholeheartedly recommend the Shell House Kitchen. The menu offered a very good selection of both savoury and sweet things. You won’t be disappointed.

Called in for a quick cuppa and a snack, we had a plain scone with jam and cream. I was very impressed with the scone, I'm not a professional but I know what I like and this scone was fantastic and the tea was also very good. My only criticism would be the cups were too small and more like coffee cups, just meant I had more cups of tea than usual I would recommend this place if you are in Ledbury and in search of light-refreshments.

The cafe is a unique place and the decor both inside and out is lovely and welcoming. Waitress was very pleasant (give her a raise) and Ed the owner has created a place with a great atmosphere and great food. We've only come to this neck of the woods for the weekend but I'd highly recommend Shell House Kitchen (and their Secret Garden at the rear).
